Please talk to me...

All these while I have been suffering from axillary hyperhidrosis... which is greatly affecting my life so so so much...

I can't wear bright colors tops... I don't feel good... I felt inferior in crowds.

No one seems to understand how serious this meant to me. Not even my parents. I have been telling them how much I wish it could stop torturing my life... until I finally broke down one day...

Today I finally went to see this surgical specialist at Raffles Hospital for my problem... he told me botox won't work as it will only last for 8 months, maximum. So the only solution now is to go through Needlescopic Thoracic Sympathectomy. It's "poking" 2 holes measuring 2-3mm on each side of the arms and have the sweat nerve "burn" off. The side effect after this operation is that more sweating will occur at the chest and at the lower back. And also, chest will have slight pain that will last for a week.

There are so much to consider... thou financially it still seems affordable... but the thought of "poking" holes in my body is freaking me off. I need to have blood test, general anesthetic and the opt itself. 6 POKING IN A DAY! AHHHHHHHHHHH........

I am scared of the pain... and the after effect of the opt. It's abit redundant to ask the doctor if its gonna be painful because he will never know how it feels to be "poked", right?

I wish my parents will understand why this problem is so causing me much problem. Totally beyond words...

Anyway, I really need advice of whether to go for it or not... If you have friends or even yourself been through the operation before, please please let me know!

Sigh... Mind in a mess now. My entry too.
