Yesterday's charity event was a huge success!
Early in the morning I woke up with the smell of rain, I prayed hard that it won't rain during our duckie ride. Thank god for being very kind to us as it really stops raining when we are ready to set off for our ride!
The kids are a bunch of notorious but lovable kids. The thought of them make me realise how much I miss them. Quoting from most of the volunteers', 4 of the little boys are real terrorist. But who haven't been thru that stage? Afterall we can see how much they enjoyed and it shows our hard work does pays off!
At the same time, its a good chance to see how patient friends around me are. I like it how my 2 best buddy, Ailing & Huijun, share the same passion with me. I also get to know the rest alot better and widen my social circle. Everything's perfect!
The best part? I get to see how patient my boyfriend is, even when a kid splash some curry sauce at him and some of them trying to irritate him by asking lotsa question. Haa! The sight of him holding a little boy's hand melts my heart like mad. I love you baby. You're the best!
Macdonalds' @ Suntec showed their support by closing an area for us, providing us unlimited supply of drinks, cups, sauces and tolerating the noise level from us. This particular staff (sorry I didn't really get her name!) is really really nice and just like part of us, lending us a helping hand when the kids went out of control. She gave out the happy meal toys to the kids like a santarina, which I think the kids love it! Thanks for being very patient and the special price for happy meals!
Thanks to Canon for loaning us equipments like DSLR and printers, allowing us to capture this very special moment.
Special thanks to Daddy Damian for being cameraman-cum-coordinator of the day. Thanks daddy!
Thanks to my sister for wrapping up the sweets and little chop for the kids. They love it!
Thanks to Chen Su Lan Home for giving us this opportunity to make this event possible and get to know the fun loving kids! Especially to the house father and mother.
Thanks to Duck Tour for the special rate and fun ride!
I think you can't fake it if you're really not the charitable and patient type. I am glad to know this bunch of volunteers who are willing to forsake their Sunday, waking up early and spent this meaningful moment together. Words can't express how much I appreciate your help. Once again, thank you all sosososoosos much! :)
Volunteers are: Damian Yvonne (My sis!) Dennis Ailing Peili Kaijing Huijun Zave Joey Grace Eve and 3 friends (I would like to know your names!) Moses Ling Peishan Nina Germaine Suween Joyce And myself! :)
Last but not least, a big thank you to those who have donated their funds to us. Without these funds, we can't make this event possible.
