Indeed I am...
I can't believe how the cyberspace had turn into something so dark and as complicating as the entertainment line.
It was like bout 5 years back when I 1st started my journal... when blogging wasn't as popular like now... and there wasn't even so much spamming. Sometimes we just can't help but blame the fast moving technology.
Not sure when flaming of blogs became a trend. Needless to say I had my fair share. Does it prove that my blog is so blardy popular? Haha!
Perhaps I have started to tone down and after multiple of shifting... my "haters" disappeared... thou I know there are still some lurking around.
But sometimes I wonder, what's there in me or my blog that can cause someone to "hate" me? I mean, what's the definition of hate when you didn't even SEE this blogger IN person before. Why take words, like iteratelly, so seriously when whatever I posted doesn't seems to hurt you. Perhaps we have different lifestyle but that doesn't make me different from you.
You know you won't walk up to someone who purposely litter right infront of you. Or do you actually shout in the face of that person and ask him to pick that litter up?
But when you see someone posting entry that makes you feel "unhappy", green or whatever la, why must you flame that person?
Is it because you know you will be hit right in your face if you confront the litter bug but you will never be exposed if you post anonymous flaming message in a blog.
Perhaps in the past, it's really difficult to find the culprit. But now, even if you use a public pc, you will also "kanna" one I guess. Like I said in my past few entries, "The technology may make you a very powerful person, but at the same time, destroy you."
Read the article in today's newpaper. This girl got flame because she flaunt her wealth and posted some I-don't-know-what-it-is-about photos on her blog. Thou I don't know what's really happening la but I think a personal blog is just like a comfort zone for the blogger where he or she can write down their lifestyle and share with friends and for own reference in future. No one have the right to interfer her life nor ask her to shut down her site... It's weird how people just hate her for being rich but in actual fact, she didn't snatch or kill anyone for it. It's just her family. Why make life so miserable? What makes you think that thru a blog, you have the right to judge a person? That's a downright childish act really...
I won't deny I no longer have the freedom to blog whatever is in my mind. Do you think everyone can take every single post I wrote like a pinch of salt? Nope. Nope. And nope.
It's weird when the society is getting more and more open while human thinking is getting more narrow minded. Sucha irony.
Not sure how safe the cyber world is... but it's definitely not safe enough for me to trust whoever habour any hatred towards me, behind their computer screen.
Whatever it is, I still enjoy blogging here, where I can post about happy stuff to share with my love ones. But of coz, more private stuff? I still prefer to leave the strangers out. :)
