We are into the mid week already. The weekend was rather packed.
My in-laws came back for a week as Beijing are having their golden week. Didn't really get to see them until the weekends where we had dinner together. They flew back on Saturday 11pm so the Husband and I sent them to the airport and dabao MCD back as supper.
Sunday, we got up pretty early to have MCD, yet again, as breakfast. Afterwhich, we head to 4-horse-road temple to pray, hopping to win the dream draw held by The Mandarin Oriental Hotel wedding show. Only couples who confirm their banquet on that day itself will be entitled to join. 1st prize is 50% off your total bills, 2nd prize is 38% off and 3rd prize is 28% off. It's VERY attractive.
Love every single bit of Oriental Hotel. Very beautifully designed building, they have very grand reception area and very interesting themes. Thou I love the Dream theme very much, the Husband thinks that it may be too dark for everyone's preference. Sigh. Luckily we still have a little more time to think about it.
Anyway, we had a really nice "lunch" at the wedding show as they serve us with 4 course that are included in the wedding menu. They are Cold dish combination, Double Boiled shark fin, Cod fish with teriyaki sauce and Chilli crab sauce with fried buns. I love... LOVE the cod fish. It's so good that it literally melt in my mouth. All of the dishes taste really good. Now I know why the banquet cost so much.
After lunch, we proceed to their dessert buffet. I can see how much the Husband love the chocolate. He told me that the chocolate makes him feel very happy. HEE.
We finally paid the deposit that day and I can see tears in my Husband's eyes and hear his heart dripping with blood. I know the sum of money is really hard on his pocket but because of our parents' background, we have to do something grand and presentable.
Sometimes people don't understand that wedding is not about the couple only. It's about the parents and they have the right to say who to invite and how it should be done. As much as I want it to be a simple yet lovely event, it turn out to be a family gathering and I have more than ever PR work to do. Hai.
I really want to try my best to help the Husband out financially... so I have decided to fork out for the wedding photography myself. Please try to keep my shopping habit in control. HAHA.
I don't want to turn into a bridezilla. I need to relax............. RELAX......
