I SWEAR I didn't 移情别恋。I still love Rilakkuma very much but I just couldn't stop. >< Was browsing thru the many thousand auctions in yahoo hk when I came across this super good deal on a set of limited edition set from MTR.  SGD$20! I think it's super worthy and cute! The Kitty figurines each represent a staff at the Hong Kong MTR station. They are: Train Operators, Assistant Fire and Security Supervisors, Infrastructure Maintenance Officers, Rolling Stock Maintenance Officers, Station Assistants, and Group Station Managers. Cool or not! HAHA! As if this is not enough, the Husband decided to indulge me with all the 3 Hello Kitty X Octopus Ornament.  Spoilt me rotten indeed but I love them SOOOOO MUCH! I will definitely wear the Kuromi one! SO CUTE! ------- Things havent been exactly that smooth sailing for us these days. But we thought after the Husband passed THE exam, things will get better. Who knows yesterday morning, when the both of us were still sleeping, I received a phonecall from our landlord, saying something like, "有的野唔好意思想話你知。。。" (which means "got something not so nice to tell you...") I thought she wanted to ask for our rent this month... or ask for a rent increase. But it was something worse than that. She say the landlord (the caller is a friend of our landlord but because she stay in the same condo, so she liaise with us instead of him) sold his own house and wanna move into our unit... so we gotta look for a new unit and move out. She said we will be compensate with 1 month of rent... and she will try to contact the property agent to keep a look out for us. WAH lau. I don't want such 晴天霹雳 news when I am still in my dreams lor. After I hang up, the Husband and I start to look for ads on the internet for condos available and which area is better. We decided to try Olympic area as the Husband will have to work at the branch there sometimes so it's more convenient. Plus Olympic is only 2 stops away from Hong Kong station easy access to Central. Many plus point. 4 hours after the phone call, we were at this super glam condo with the agent to view 3 empty units. (Talking about efficiency, harharhar) Harbour Green, located 5 minutes walk from the Olympic Station (covered walkway is yay-ness), developer is Sun Hung Kai, the best in Hong Kong. And the development is only 2 years old. The apartment really got the hotel feel. No wonder their selling point is "CEO Living". Their guards looks like bodyguard! And they have bellboy and concierge service... so many and I don't think I will be able to state them all. OH AND THEIR TOILET GOT TV ONE! HAHAH! But only 2 palm size so big. Can brush teeth and watch tv at the same time. The rent is slightly higher than what we are paying now but we are quite sure we can bring it down to the same rate as now. Just that the unit is even smaller... imagine small... then smaller?! Guess what we are paying is for the location... and the quality of the development. All the units we viewed yesterday are super high floor lor. 43 storey! Aiyo imagine typhoon come, I will be super paranoid about the glass panel! We will be viewing more units tomorrow and hopefully we can make a choice by then. Got so many things to pack, to move, then to clean up the new place. Seriously, how much drama must we have! I know these days I have been secretly wishing to move out because this place is quite infested with bugs... first sliverfish and now springtail?! Not your usual bugs lor! The Husband was poking fun at me saying that my wish came true... super abrupt thou. From now onwards, I will be more careful with what I wish for. >< Wish us luck! Thursday, March 20, 2008 1:28 PM seriously lack of updates. What more can I ask for, other than 24 hours of freetime to do my own things? Here i am eating the silky bean gingko nuts dessert (腐竹薏米) while looking after the shop for mum because she and my sister are stuck at Mount E. The blardy car can't start due to empty batteries. For the past few weeks I have been burying myself at home, throwing tons and tons of things away while trying to squeeze my entire life barang barang into 5 big brown boxes. My house is finally undergoing major facelift. According to my mum, their decision is because of my upcoming wedding. Wah, 感动。 Hee. I know my Sister is secretly screaming for joy because the room is finally hers, all by herself. Bah! Having to stayed there for like 23 years ++++++++, I have feelings for every single things in the house. From the tiles, to cupboards, to every single inch of spider web, it's really hard to think that I will no longer be living under the same roof with my parents, whom works better than normal alarm clocks to wake me up in the morning for work. Thou at times, their constant nagging does puts me off, looking at the empty house of Husband scares me off sometimes. So yes, for the past 2 weeks I threw away lotsa stuff that I no longer need, can't wear, not using and unneccessary. Come to think of it, I threw lotsa toys away, only leaving behind those my dear husband bought for me, Kuma and blythe dolls. I don't know where all this guts came from. Perhaps I know I can never bring every single thing with me if I were to move out some day... All the 5 boxes I have filled up was so heavy that it can't be easily pushed. Till now I still suffer from the chestpain due to too much force. I wonder how my dispatch driver managed to carry them from my place to the husband's house. He look even skinnier than me lor. >< After the hassle of packing my own house, and halfway through the renovation already, Husband and I started packing his room because we need to buy new furniture and do new flooring for our bridal room. After one week, we only managed to finish one cupboard, and looking forward to clear out the waredrobe. That reminds me that I should remind husband to call up the carpenter! Other than all these kind of "chapalang" stuff for renovation, I am also busy doing research on the major decision that we have made. Can't reveal much until things are 100% concrete. Mind damaging leh. The husband don't get it why I am more ganjiong than him. But seriously, that's what wife is for right? Doing all the backend worrying while the husband is chiong-ing at the frontline. Tsk. Oh yeah, I also went for my 1st gown fitting last weekend. Wow... no wonder people always say bride is always the prettiest on their big day. I think I look kinda okie in gown. Just that I am a little too "flat". HAHA. More or less decided on the design so tomorow we are going down again to do our MTM design. Pretty excited! Hope I can take some photos of the gowns I have tried on! :) Ok. I got heaps of photos to update but I really got no time la. Friday, January 11, 2008 10:15 AM One of the things Singaporeans are good at is complaining. I can't deny, especially the younger generation. 1st, they complain about increase of GST. (In the end still shop so much.) 2nd, they complain about ERP. (Ok, I complained too since it's affecting me quite badly. haha) 3rd, they complain about the hike in cab fare. (But still take!) 4th, they complain about no money because of the standard of living in Singapore these days. (which I sorta agree.) But I find it really amusing when people start to critize the sales of Cityview @ Boon Keng. I took a peek at the forums dicussing about the new project and I was quite surprise that almost 90% of the people thinks that Cityview is not a good buy and encourage people NOT to buy. Because a 5 room HDB flat is selling at about 710k. The forumers says that Boon Keng is not a good location because the traffic condition is bad... it's near Singapore casket... it's surrounded by ERP... alot of industrial building... But seems like people who gave such comments are not people living in that area. I have been living in that area for my entire life. And how come I have no complains at all? Traffic Condition: Tell me about it. WHICH area will not have jam during peak hours? Which central and town area? Near Singapore casket: Why do people still stay in Yio Chu Kang, Bishan & Sin ming? (And come on la, it's NOT THAT NEAR to Singapore casket lor.) Surrounded by ERP: Which expressway exit and entrance have no ERP now!? Too much of industrial area: Do you know that some of the industrial building are tearing down? Some people thinks that paying so much for a HDB flat, why not just buy a condo? 1) You won't get govt grants for buying a Condo. 2) Cannot get lower interest loan like HDB from Banks. (Not even EC.) 3) Can you still find sucha good location NEW flat with good views around that area? So what if Condo have better facilities? Out of 10 resident, how many actually fully utilise them? So what if Condo have better security? Does it means no crimes at all? If some private developers decided to build a HDB flat in Orchard road, do you think the price will be lower than CityView's price? Does staying in Orchard means no ERP, no jam? Yes, you can walk to different shopping malls but don't you want to get out of the Town once in a while? Boon Keng is also surrounded by many different expressway entrance and exit so near to each other. You can't deny Boon Keng is very blardy near to Orchard. It usually takes me like 10 minutes drive, 15 minutes mrt ride or 30 minutes bus ride to Town. Cityview is surround by all different kind of public transport. So what if there is really jam during peak hours? It also benefit residents who doesn't own a car. Whatever you need, you name it, they have it. They are all so near to the flat. School, clinic, hospital, mrt, bus stop, post office, banks, market, shopping mall, supermarket, petrol station, car repair, fast food, community center, an under construction sports hub, food market, swimming complex.. what else seriously? I have nothing against people who decided to buy a private property or Condo. These are people who are able to live a luxury lives. (And also people who can't buy HDB flats due to their high income.) There is no right or wrong to choose what they are most comfortable with but I don't see the need for people to condemn about this new project which many other are really interested in it. There must be some reason why potiental buyers see the good prospect of this new project. Yes, a ceiling income of 8k is almost impossible to pay off this flat comfortably but how do you know that potiential buyer have no spare cash in their pocket somewhere? And why is everyone talking about the 710k flat? What about the 550k 5 rooms? What about those who are entitled for the MCPS grants (like myself)? No one is pointing the knife at you to buy the 710k one. There are so many condo selling at skyrocking price, why no one is complaining when Cityview is almost like half price of a Condo? As simple as that. If you're not interested, don't see, don't say, don't buy. No hard feelings but I am just stating my point of view. Not pointing fingers at anyone specifically. And yes, if I get a good ballot number, I will be a potiential buyer. I have grants but no, I am not getting that 710k unit of course. But the ultimate reason is, I wish to stay near to my parents. Saturday, January 05, 2008 5:43 PM Never thought that buying a house of our own is gonna happen anytime soon but today, we popby CityView @ Boon Keng to view the showflat and even registered for the balloting! I have been staying in that area for 23 years and I always loved it. Now that we have a chance to try our luck to get a house in the same town, no words can describe my excitment! ^^ I know it's abit kiasu la but the husband and I were already queuing outside the showflat at 8.15am when it was supposed to starts at 9am. We were the 1st batch, 1st 20 people to enter the showflat. Breath taking interior! Even thou it's via balloting but we have already start choosing the unit we are interested in. Haha... The higher the storey, the better view it is if it's facing the Singapore Flyer. But that also means that the price is higher too. Thou everyone have been saying that S$520/psf is much too expensive for a HDB flat but our parents know that it's gonna be a very good investment given the location and view. So now we gotta bor-bi that we will get good results from the balloting!^^ It's our 1st time balloting for flats! Guess what, when we were about to leave the showflat, we overhead people saying the queue is growing and the waiting time to view the flat is about 2 hours on average! OMG. Luckily we were early! Friday, Ailing mei and I caught BeautyWorld @ Esplanade. Love it! We totally enjoyed the show. Great plot, Great Vocal and Great casts. :) *Beauty world, cha cha cha!* Have been popping in and out of Zara to get winter clothings for my Korea trip. I don't really like the ideal of spending too much even before travelling so it's just nice that Zara is having sale and alot of them are Winter items. The husband is back in his office for work (on a saturday at this time!) while me sitting on the sofa now acting like a couch potato, feeling alittle stressed up. This morning I found a light bulb *exploded* and all shattered on the floor. Took me a long while to clean up to ensure that no glass pieces were left on the ground. Baby check and found there is a short circuit at the circuit breaker and when he on the lights on more time, another bulb flew off from the top. OMG! I was just standing under it like 5 seconds ago! >< Thou we have off the main switch for the lights but I am still afraid of it exploding again. :/ Uber Random Entry.
