Back with new toys...
Monday, March 29, 2010 1:23 PM

Disappeared for longer than expected... but nothing is better then having some me-time and clearing some thoughts.

Life was a roller coaster for the past few weeks but no matter what happens, life still goes on. I am still who I am and I still love what I love. I have been pretty optimistic for all my life so I guess it helps to get by bad times pretty quickly.

And so the besties, Ailing, Kaijing & Dylan visited the Husband and I in HK earlier this month and we had so much fun! :) Peili and Irvin was also in HK at the same time so we visited Ocean Park today and stayed in there from morning till the gate close behind us. Usually the Husband and I only spent like what, 3 hours most in Ocean Park? Haha... I am amazed by the besties' willpower.

Yes, it's the eyeball-enlargement photosticker machine. But seems like the function works well for everyone else except for me. I must have REALLY SMALL EYES. :P

So when we were back in Singapore for CNY, the Husband and I were looking at getting Wayfarer. He wants to use it as eyeglasses while I am looking for shades. Sunglass Hut @ Marina Square was having 20% off for most items and I am surprise that Rayban are on sale too. Price was really attractive so we were pretty much sold.

Husband got the tortise color for his eyeglasses while I got white for mine. Initially I was considering red and white but red is too BOOMZ for me so I got the white instead. But white have pure white with full black shades and white subway design with grey shades. Since price difference wasn't huge for both, I got the subway one which was supposed to be limited edition. Love it! :)

While the besties were here, they shop so much that left me speechless. They really know how to walk. Haha... especially Dylan! And I think he bought the most items. Very impressive for a guy. :P

Of course how can I not bring them to my favorite kuma store? I went to collect the sandwich plush which I pre-ordered sometime back and bought some cute stickers too. Too hard to resist. :)

I still buy Rilakkuma stuff when I have a blogshop selling them... but some of the items I got are only sold in Japan and the store owner is really nice to get them for me. ^^

Pass by Macdonalds last Friday and they are selling their new 35th Anniversary plush toys collector set. Too cute to give it a miss!

It's funny how collector's edition doesn't come with the normal size Officer Big Mac & Mac Tonight. I have to stuff myself silly with mac to complete the set. -_-

To find out more, visit HERE! :)

Those who are on my Facebook will know that I am dying to eat the Rilakkuma cake, partially for the cute Rilakkuma plates that will be given free for every 1 pound of cake. There are a totally of 6 plates that comes in 3 different sets.

Saint Honore, the cake shop offering the cute cakes are not exactly near my place but the love I have for Rilakkuma make me determine to get them. Haha... and Thanks to the Husband for spoiling me.

I can safely say that we are super hardcore Rilakkuma Fans because we ate 3 blardy pound of cake just to finish collecting all the plates.

Anyway the cakes are also to welcome our smallest member of the Kuma family... SLS. (don't ask me why that name. The Husband gave the funniest name to all my bears.)

Can you see cake oozing out from my nose already?

Omocha-land Collection 3 & Back from Taiwan.
Tuesday, November 24, 2009 11:05 AM

OMOCHA-LAND'S COLLECTION 3 IS UP!!! Please show some love! <3

I am back from Taiwan with the besties since Saturday but my mind have yet to settle down. Just finished all the unpacking, washing and cleaning but the Husband and I will be flying off again to Beijing this weekend. As much as I love travelling, I start to dread about coming back home with a thousand things to be done.

Packing, Unpacking, Washing, Cleaning. And the cycle goes on and on. -_-

We spent a bomb on winter clothings because ours are all left in Singapore. UGH I shouldn't have brought them back but because our Hong Kong place's waredrobe is so tiny, I have to bring back winter clothings to Singapore during summer and summer clothings during winter. Now that it's winter, we have to survive in our 1 and only winter jacket until it's time to go back to Singapore and pick them up again.

Will post about the Taiwan trip when I am back from Beijing! Or maybe in Beijing...

Can't wait for 2010 to be here.

Of Anniversary, Halloween & Rilakkuma
Friday, November 06, 2009 3:57 PM

Can't believe it was only last year (1st Nov 2008) when we both walk down the aisle together. Still remember the day of our customary wedding...

It was a rainy morning and the groom was late because he totally forgotten about the hand bouquet. :O

When I thought the worst is over, I realise I have no appetite for anything and I kept felt like puking THE ENTIRE DAY. I was simply too nervous. But when we both step into the ballroom, all the nervous-ness in me just miraclely disappeared within the thin air.

And I thought when the banquet is over, we could spend quality time together in the pre-soak-with-rosepetals-bathtub and have the nice late supper which the hotel have delivered up to our bridal suite, the groom fell asleep in his half drunk state.

I was left standing next to him, still with all my makeup on and hair all stiff and frizzy. I thought to myself... what's next?

After spending a long time in the bathroom, I came out and stood infront of the mess in the suite's living room wondering if I should pack up or eat 1st.

I pack up, clean up, stuff the gowns and albums into the bags, lock the angbaos in the safe, watch and cringe at the morning highlight video and fell asleep. Totally forgotten about the supper. (There goes our cod fish and fried bun with chillicrab sauce.)

We didn't even make it to our Honeymoon @ Bali due to security reason.

Although we both know that the wedding wasn't perfect, I am still very happy to go through it with you. And now that we have come this far, baby, I wanna thank you for everything that you've given to me.

Life wasn't all smooth sailing when we are so far away from home. But we both know we have each other to rely on no matter what.

I look forward to see you every end of the day because even if we stay under the same roof, you spend long hours working hard in office to provide all my needs.

You support whatever decision I make. You get me involved in all parts of your life.

I know that if it wasn't you, I won't be what I am today.

There is only one regret in my life... which is getting to know you a little too late. But it's okie because good things can wait. It's okie because your love healed all my wounds.

I love you baby! I love you so much that my heart bursted and recovered for a million times. Happy 1st Year Anniversary to the both of us! <3

On the 31st Oct, the Husband dated me to Disneyland for a special Halloween night.

I can never understand the fun of dressing up and visiting crowded places to "celebrate" Halloween. I usually spend it like how I will spend the rest of my 364 days.

As we all know the ticket to Disneyland is blardy expensive, the evening tickets isn't any better. The evening admission is from 6pm to 11pm so we had early dinner and slowly make our way there.

At the entrance, we saw someone selling those Halloween headbands so we decided to get 1 each just for the sake of getting into the mood. :P

Other then the parade, the dressing of the staff and the deco, everything else was the same. But we still enjoyed and had fun playing the same rides all over again! (No scary rides for me thou. I can't take it! ><)

(Alot of pictures of us because the Husband ask me why recently I havent been taking photos together. You know, when you start using SLR... you hardly can do self portrait unless with the help of mirror or strangers. ><)

No matter how many times we have seen the fireworks before, it still look so beautiful to us!

And of course the Carousel ride...

Thou I still find it silly to "celebrate" Halloween, the Husband's decision to bring me to Disneyland make me a very happy girl. <3

Recently the Husband bought me this Rilakkuma charm which I have been eyeing for the longest time. I wanted to use it but iPhone doesn't have any holes for me to hang it and I was worried of dirtying it at the same time. So I took out my Q-pot case again... :O

The very last time I used it, I stain the back of the case with some ink which I have no idea where it came from. I tried ways to remove it but it only cause more damaged to the case so I stop using it already. But that day when I took it out, the stain disappeared!! I don't know where it went to lor but since the stain is gone, I can finally use it again!

Perfect match right!! Love how the pink and purple match! But I am still worried of getting the both of them dirty. -_-

And guess what we found?!

Rilakkuma everywhere in HK can?! Even tissue box also have! The quality of the tissue is quite good leh. Not inferior kind! 2 ply!

And thanks to Joce's reminder, I managed to buy the cute Rilakkuma fridge from Circle K! Also thanks to the Husband for being persistent in finding it when the Circle K at the MTR station doesn't carry them. We walk a little further to the other store and found it! <3

Dedicate to all Milo Peng Lover.

THE END!

Oh, Omocha-Land have launched their 2nd Collection this morning!!

PLEASE SHOW SOME LOVEEEEE!! <3 <3 <3

Our BKK Trip
Friday, October 30, 2009 12:51 PM

Wah so paisay to neglect my blog for so long...

After coming back from Bangkok, everyday I have been busy sitting infront of the laptop... photoshopping and playing around with the livejournal template. I really hate CSS. HTML is so much simpler! But I am glad I sorta figured it out and the layout is finalised.

OH incase you guys don't know yet... the Rilakkuma stocks are here! WOOHOO!

Not alot... because almost more than half of my order went out of stock. But for now, we can just make do with what are available!

A little sad that I can't be in Singapore to open up the boxes and take a good look at the goods. But I can trust my sister to QC them and sort them out! :) Thanks Jie!

Tentatively we are looking to launch the blogshop on the 1st Nov (which is the Husband and my 1st wedding anniversary!) so do keep a lookout at this space for more updates! <3

Now back to our BKK trip.

The night before our trip, the Husband have to stay back in the office to finish up his work so that he can ease off some workload when he goes back after the vacation. But little did I expect him to come back only at 5am! We have to reach the airport by 8am, which means leaving home at about 7plus. Poor baby only have 2 hours of sleep...

As usual we went back to Baiyoke Sky for our accomodation. But seems like they really have little maintenance work done to the hotel. I remember my last trip there was lovely but this time, everytime is old and more expensive. -_-

Nevertheless I am glad they still make the effort to decorate our room after us informing them that we are here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Well, to them, is Honeymoon.

We step into the room with aircon fully blasting the room (love it when the weather is insanely hot in BKK!), cake and fruits on the table and rose petals on the bed, in the basin and bathtub.

Well, one of the many reason for choosing Baiyoke Sky is also because they provide shuttle service to Siam Discovery. Super convenient! So everyday we have to make sure we didn't miss the bus (which operates every hour only) and for the rest of the days in BKK, we have been going to the same places because we are too spoilt. Hahaha...

1st stop was of course Fuji for lunch! OH how I miss their food. We had a hard time choosing what to eat so in the end we order so much that our table couldn't contain all of them.

After late lunch, we simply walk around Siam Discovery, Siam Paragon and some nearby shopping malls and before we realise, it's time for dinner. We decided to make our way back to the hotel to order room service (which they claim they have the best Tom Yam soup!) and enjoy te complimentary foot massage provided by the hotel.

For the next few days, yes, WE WENT BACK TO THE SAME MALL again and again. But we surprisely we have things to buy everytime we went back. :/

So to save the trouble of repeating the boring itinerary, here are the places and food we ate. :P

Shopping:
- Siam Discovery
- Siam Paragon
- Central World
- MBK
- Platinum Mall
- Some other malls which I can't even remmeber the name

Food:
- Fuji
- Room service
- MK steamboat
- Food court in Siam Paragon (which is surprisingly GOOD and CHEAP!)

Things we bought:
- Clothes & Shoes
- Toys (!!)
- Snacks

Activity:
- Massage
- Massage
- Massage

VERY BORING I KNOW! But our plan for this trip is to R&R so we didn't really follow any itinerary. We simply just walk what we see, eat what we see, buy what we see. :P

Anyway, here are the rest of the photos!

I really hate not updating but for now, please forgive me while I get busy with the start of the Rilakkuma blogshop!

Looking forward to Taiwan with the besties on the 15 November and celebrating our wedding anniversary on the 1st of November! <3

Boat trip!
Friday, September 11, 2009 12:01 PM

Felt like I woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. My laptop had THE bluescreen TWICE. BB Bold have problems updating and my iPhone is lagging like no tomorrow. UGH!

I don't like that nagging feeling in me especially when I need to get something done but yet I am lazing my ass off day after that. I know I have to update this space of mine but sometimes I just hate to open up the photoshop and put all the pictures together. Thou I know there are lotsa photo collage software around, I still like to use my own way of putting them together.

So today, procrastination NO MORE!

Last Saturday, I was invited by the Husband's lovely colleague to join them for their department boat trip outing @ Sai Kung. I was excited about it because the last time my bikini ever seen the sunlight was... OMG! my phuket trip in Feb 2008! "They" were supposed to see the sunlight on our honeymoon trip to Bali but it was cancelled the other time. -_-

It was uber embrassessing to tell everyone that we have not been to Sai Kung after moving to HK for over a year. Don't say Sai Kung la, even Macau also never been there before!

It's just like me living in Singapore for over 20 years, I have not cover the entire country yet. Crap. I swear I will go every corner of Singapore when we go back for good one day.

So that morning, we woke up exceptionally early and took a train to Choi Hung Station to meet the rest of the peeps who volunteered to get drinks and tibits for the trip. Took a mini bus that directly drove us into Sai Kung. Woohoo! It's not as difficult as we thought to make our way there.

The supermarket @ Sai Kung was INSANELY PACKED with people who are like us, going on a boat trip. I haven't seen that much people wearing shorts with tees/tanks after moving here. You can see 80% of Singaporean girls wearing shorts with tanks everywhere in Singapore. But its definitely not usual in Hong Kong. For a moment I felt like I was in Sentosa. Haha...

There were about 20 over of us and the size of the yacht is just right. But small means easier to feel the unstable sea so I had to pop a pill before I board as I am super prone to motion sickness. :O~

Everyone had lotsa fun in the water and they also provide speedboat for wakeboarding. One of them bought the super big star and turtle float but I didn't manage to enjoy those because I can't blardy swim. UGH. Sometimes I hate myself for not having that determination to learn swimming. I pick up everything fast except for swimming and rollerblading, which both happens to be the Husband's expertise. -_-

OH YES I FOUND A JELLYFISH IN THE WATER! Luckily it was spotted before someone get sting by it.

The yacht stops at one of the beach after lunch so thank god I get to set my feet on the ground before I start puking on board. Haha...

The seawater was exceptionally salty. It's salty enough to even feel the prickly sensation when you touch it. The worse part is that the toilet at the beach uses seawater instead of fresh water. I almost wanted to wash my eyes with the tap water! ><

Getting back onto yacht, we played mahjong, cards and before we realise it, the time is close to evening and we are on our way back to the pier.

We had dinner at this seafood restaurant which serves super fresh seafood. And I can't stop raving about the Cheesey lobster (SHUCKS I realise I caption it as Crab in my picture. -_- It's lobster right?!) with ee-fu noodle. MAN, I CAN DIE HAPPY EATING THAT! I love cheese!

It was overall a GREAT TRIP! And I love the company! For the 1st time I felt like home without my singaporean family and friends around. Thanks Josphine for the invitation! :)

Actually I almost couldn't make it to the trip because after dinner on Wednesday, I had runs on Thurday morning. After meeting Ting Jie (she was here for her holiday! :)) during the day time, I suddenly had high fever after I got home. Seen a doctor that night, and continue to have diarrhea on Friday. Saturday I woke up with queasy tummy but I figure out that if I don't go out, it won't make much difference. Hahah... Thank god I made the right decision!

--------

My Sister and Jeffrey is coming over to Hong Kong on the 16th and I can't wait! I love visitors especially my loved ones! By then I am sure there will be lotsa photos updates and no more mundane text only entry. :P

OH and by the way... I have finally sent in the PO for my Rilakkuma business. Finally one step closer towards my dream! Wish me luck! <3

For a moment I have forgotten this little space of mine... have the urge to stop blogging completely because I am like 80% lazy most of the time. But this domain is very precious to me so I guess, I will just try my best to keep it alive for now...

Ever since the 1st confirmed case of Swine Flu in Hong Kong, almost 40% of the people I see on the street (especially non-locals) are wearing mask these days. I am not sure if it's being too kiasu by doing so but we tried to look for mask over the weekend but failed to stock up any. It's practically out of stock everywhere! Since the Husband's office is giving out some to their staffs so I ask him to bring 1 or 2 back home just in case. :P

Labour Day started quite sadly with one of my guppy passed away...

I have been keeping 10 guppies for almost half year already... and to me is a great deal since my metality is that guppies doesn't have a long lifespan... But the night before, I found this smallest one swimming on it's side way. It's kind shocking because during the day, all 10 of them are acting as per normal and active. I am not sure what's the cause of it but my guess is bladder disorder.

My landlord was over at our place the other day and she ask us why we kept 10 instead of 9 because 9 fishes in Fengshui bring good luck to the one living in the house. I never thought that keeping fish will give me luck at the 1st place so I can't really be bothered about the number of fishes in my tank. On the positive side, maybe the guppy overhead what the landlord said and sacrifice itself to give us a better fengshui. :(

In the afternoon, we had high tea @ Yung Kee with the Husband's ex-colleagues who came over to Hong Kong for vacation. I always like to see how happy the Hubby is when his friends visit him in Hong Kong. We had a great time catching up with great company over great food.

On Sunday, I went to the Rilakkuma store to collect the stuff I pre-ordered. Wanted to get more of the earphone but was told it's out of stock everywhere even in Japan. The shop wasn't able to cover all their pre-ordered list and I was lucky to be the 1st few who pre-ordered. Glad that Tricia got hers and I regretted not pre-ordering mine together with hers too. And sorry babe, that I can't get more for your friends...

Remember I bought the SD-card holder too?

Instead of putting SD cards inside (which I don't need another pouch since my camera pouch have extra compartment), I store all my amulet with me...

Not sure if everyone does that but I have the habit of carrying all different kind of amulet with me when I go travelling or whatever else that need "protection" and luck.

Everything inside was bought by my Mum for me. :) And I like how the clasp on the pouch can hook onto my 虎眼 bracelet.

One last thing before I go...

Finally we are going for our long await honeymoon to..........

T O K Y O! Omg my land of Rilakkuma! I MUST TAKE PICTURE WITH HIM!

From 14th-20th June. I am so looking forward to it! <3

Rilakkuma madness
Friday, April 03, 2009 11:52 AM

Hello everybody! Anyone miss seeing kumas on my blog? Hee...

That's my new bedsheet that I bought when Ailing Mei came over to visit me. Love the colors! At least it's not so guniang as compared to pink.

The babies have been doing alot of suntanning these days as my bed is directly receiving sunlight in the afternoon. The sun can get so strong that my previous bedsheet color got washed off. I hope my kumas won't turn light brown soon. ><

I was at the kuma shop a few weeks back and the lady pass me a booklet of upcoming new stuff from San-x. I didn't order anything but now I truly regretted it! Ugh so much things I want and she is offering discount for pre-order!

Maybe I should make a trip to the store again this weekend.

And here's the new Kuma comic! (Yes I am obviously too free...)

I have been thinking of getting 1 more kuma which is bigger than DBS. I can't wait to visit Japan! I will be the happiest girl to visit the Rilakkuma store there!

Quick updates with peeks!
Tuesday, January 13, 2009 11:26 AM

This entire week was really testing our tolerance towards cold weather. I have to wear 3 layers to sleep, something I will never ever do in Singapore. Too cold for comfort actually. Haven't been sleeping well for the past few days.

Weekend was great thou. Spend quality time outside and at home. Tried very hard to look for my CNY clothing but I found ZERO outfit suitable. 90% here are winter wear and I must be crazy to wear them in Singapore for CNY.

The husband was lucky thou. He found 2 shirts and need another another pair of bottom and prolly a new pair of shoes to replace that salted-vege lookalike one. Hee... and he also bought new accessories for his yet again new toy. Hope he updates on it soon! ^^

For dinner on Saturday, we tried the Modern Toilet Restaurant which was rather famous in Taiwan too.

I seriously thought I was adventurous enough to eat something off the "toilet bowl" but turn out I lost my appetite totally. Haha... could be due to my damn period too but anyway, the food wasn't exactly fantastic... a good place to visit, just for the theme only. IMO la. :/

Here's my best buys last week!

Rilakkuma alarm clock. I love it lor! For my entire life I have only bought 3 alarm clock. 1 is a hugeass bear shape one (no, not kuma!), one digital one which I left it in Singapore (serve me for chao chao 8 years or more) and now this kuma one. It's definitely not a bimbo looking clock. Loud enough to wake me up from my deepest sleep. Haha...

We used to use our iphone as alarm but the Husband keep telling me putting the phone near us while sleeping is bad for our brains... so I finally found the perfect alarmclock for us. :P It's rather hard to deactivate it lah like the iPhone. For iPhone, you have to wake up, look at screen and slide at the right spot to off the alarm. If not it will snooze until you off it. This kuma alarm clock is you have to push the switch to off it. By then, you confirm eyes big big liao.

Korilakkuma plush hat! I feel very upset that the Rilakkuma version is sold out. I hope I can get it somewhere off Taiwan or Japan now. :(

The husband keep warning me about posting the picture of him in it but I can't resist it! So cute la!

Skullcandy earphone. The Husband got this for me after my much consideration. I was actually looking for the pink Skullcandy Full Metal Jacket one but I couldn't find it anywhere... and this seems to be the closest. Love it nevertheless! Kinda pricey for a earphone but the quality definitely beats many other brands!

Saw this CNY deco at the mall near our place! Can see how much effort they put in to do up the deco. So cute, look at the details! I wanna bring them back home!
