Food Tasting
Wednesday, September 17, 2008 9:18 AM

The trip back to Singapore come and go like a breeze. It's a mad rush from the day we board our flight. And now, I am drowing in my own nasal mucus and semi-bed ridden. Sigh.

Had our food tasting at the Oriental on the 13th of Sept and it's totally luxury lor. I had ZERO complain on the dishes but changed 2 due to some repetition of ingredient. One of the rare moments to hear my dad saying "very nice" when it comes to food. Seems like my parents and sister like it very much.

We invited Dennis's aunties, uncles and grandma for the occasion too as his parents are still stuck in Beijing.

We have chosen dream theme. Love the color X 100000000!

With Oriental, I have nothing to worry about our wedding dinner. Sandy, our coordinator plan everything out well and all I need to do is to be present at the dinner itself. But things outside Oriental makes me pretty stressed out. Ugh. I have to take it easy for now!

Collected our invitation cards as well. Printed very nicely and love the black cards from Oriental.

Our flight back to HK with UA was cancelled the day before and thank god the husband checked the itinerary online and quickly called the US office and got a replacement flight on the same day with CX. An upgrade definitely but I love UA's service. They have really sweet and thoughtful air stewardess. Because it's nearing mid-autumn festival that day and lots of passengers bought mooncakes. The stewardess was kind enough to offer dry ice to put inside the mooncake. SO nice leh! I hope all other airlines actually provide such thoughtful gestures!

Ok, will update more when I recover.

Omg. Keanu Reeves so hensum can? Watching the Lake House now.

A trip back home...
Tuesday, July 08, 2008 10:25 PM

is just like a blink of an eye. Took a evening flight back to Singapore on Friday and back in Hong Kong on Monday evening... very tiring but fulfiling. :)

Touchdown in Singapore around 1215am and took us around 45mins to get home. Ordered Mac delivery for supper and can't help falling asleep after filling our tummy...

Woke up at 10am next day and prepared to go Marina Square to meet up with Ailing mei for my gown fitting and the husband's suit fitting. Will go for a final fitting when our AD gets nearer.

Chungsiak & Guangming joined us for lunch and Peninsula where the vain GM bought his Ray-ban and I bought my Ricoh GT-1.

Left wonderful gang around 5pm and went back to meet my parents and sister for dinner. Celebrated my Sister birthday. :) Hope she love the Agnes B bag!

Sunday was the big day for Gayyong and Junie. In the morning, Wansheng dropped by and pass us our bridal shoot CD. Thanks for making a trip down purposely to pass us the CD, WS! Really appreciate that! :)

The KOH's ROM was held at Timbre. Weather was pretty hot but that doesn't stop us from getting excited for the cute couple. Hee. Though it was a pretty tiring day but the Husband and I was very happy to be able to make it for the event!

After the solemnization, we went around and too some pre-nep shots for the couple.

No pictures yet as the Husband is still processing them. Hee.

Rush home for dinner with my Parents after the shoot wraps up.

Monday I had an appointment with Randy @ Le Salon for a haircut. The last haircut I had with him was like 8 months back. I think I save up quite abit on hair care. Haha... Randy snip off my hair quite abit. I think almost 10cm. Gasp! But my head feel much lighter now. Just hope that it will grow long enough for my wedding in Nov!

Sister came by our place to fetch us to town. Turn out she actually went to Taka and buy me gifts after she drops us off at the Taxi stand. So sneaky!

Nothing cheers me up more than these cuties. My very 1st birthday present and I love it to bits!

And my mum actually ask my sister to buy me a replacement for my missing cow-suit Kuma phone charm. Yah... I lost mine when I was rushing to catch a train to the airport on Friday. :(

Only people who love me knows me best. Thank you so much my best parents and sister! And of course besties who willing to take time off and meet me thou it's just a short one. Hee.

Received my bridal shop bridal shoot layout in my mail as they are unable to show me when I went down to their shop that day.

Not bad not bad. Let's just hope that they will turn out ok on prints when I collect them next time.

CSI time! Will update again soon! :P

P.s: Oh, also thanks to all the cousin and other relatives' birthday angbaos. They are well received. :) Thanks once again!

Life in HK
Thursday, July 03, 2008 10:33 AM

More than a month since we were here already. How time flies right?!

Initially I wasn't sure why there are still alot of people asking why we are in Hong Kong now till I realise I didn't really state clearly our decision of moving here...

We are here because the Husband is working in Hong Kong now. As for me? A full-time stay home wife?

Not sure what constructive stuff I have done so far, other then keeping the house clean, waking the husband up, ironing his shirts and doing laundry. I miss the days where I can go for photography session. Although Hong Kong is bigger than Singapore but seems like our motherland have more interesting things to capture. But I still managed to shoot some good stuff here la (picture on top). Hahaa... aiya contradicting.

I have been procrastinating about getting the 40mm teleconverter and external viewfinder for my GRD but I can't seems to find any better price here... so I will prolly get them this weekend when I get back to Singapore.

Yes yes we will be back for 3 days taking a night flight tomorrow. We are back for our suit and gown fitting, photoshoot layout viewing, lunch with the besties, my Sister's birthday and Gayyong & Junie's ROM! I bet this is a trip worthwhile to make! :)

One of the little things I love about HK is that they have more public holiday then Singapore. So we are trying to make use of the long weekends here to make trips back for our wedding preparation. I just managed to fix an appointment with Oriental Hotel for our wedding dinner food tasting in September. Really looking forward to it because I bet it's a feast for us and our family! :P

Tuesday was a PH for us too so we went to Mongkok, thought of getting myself a dress for the KOHs' ROM and some new games to keep us occupied. I managed to get the Wii Fit at a lower price after running thru a few shops (they all look damn fierce can! and jack up the price like M A D). The Husband and I kinda like the games in it and it does gives a good sweaty workout. Hope I can shed off some fats la hor. Hee.

If you didn't realise, my 24th is coming soon! Like next month? :P

Here is my wishlist!

1) Ricoh GT-1 40mm teleconverter
2) Ricoh GV-1 External viewfinder OR
3) Ricoh GV-2 External viewfinder
4) Pink Palm Centro (which i think it's impossible to get since pink only comes with CDMA network...)
5) Longchamp Red Le Pliage Tote OR
6) Longchamp Le Pliage Embroidered Tote
7) Tokidoki X Hello Kitty Card Holder
8) Tokidoki X Hello Kitty Wallet

Ya... perhaps it's true a wishlist may just be a wishlist afterall if I am asking all these as gifts. Haha... But actually a wishlist is a goal for myself to work towards to. Like the Ricoh accessories! Can't wait to lay my hands on them... heh heh heh...

Btw... did you miss the drama mama going on? About the blog fights going on btw 2 bloggers... aiyo... why people take things so seriously? A BLOG IS JUST A BLOG.

"If you have a blog, you call yourself a blogger."

I don't know if I can fully agree with this statement. I mean come on, I started a blog yearrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrssss back when internet wasn't even that important in human's life and I don't start telling the whole world that I am a full-time blogger... I don't add advertisment, ask for endorsement or anything else that I can gain from this blog. The only time I seek for help is when I was organising a charity drive a december 2 years back.

Simply because I blog because I wanna share my life with those who care. The only thing I want to gain is friendship and understanding. I blog what I like and not what others wants to read. Isn't blog supposed to be a place where you put in your personal thought? A blog is simply just AN ONLINE DIARY. Just that it's not lock up. It's quite sad to see how people wanna live off wih the kind of fame they will have when they start a blog. Why complicate something so pure, so simple? Why revolve your life around a blog when there are soooooooo many things you can do in life? AIYOWEI.

Don't know why I am so agitated anyway. But I feel that people these days are doing too many silly things to create unneccessary war. Come on, make the online and offline world a better place to be in!

Anyway, some misconception... to be amused at.

If you have a camera, you call yourself a photographer?
O M G. This is the worse misconception that one can get. You are a photographer when you get paid for your photos! You don't call youself a photographer just because you own a camera. You probably don't even know what are the other functions in your cam other than just point and shoot?

Even if you have a dslr, you are not a photographer. I guess it's the recent drop of price of DSLR that everyone owns one now. I know of some real photographers who gets baffled with the fact that everyone is claiming to be a photographer because they can afford a SLR. Come on, everyone CAN but not everyone have the EYE for a good shot...

Worse lot of them are those that cheat girls who dream of becoming models. I am sure you've heard of the news about a girl got rape after a fake photographer lure her into nude shoot, with a PnS CAMERA?!?!?!? God. Girls should know how to differentiate what's good and what's not. And please. Taking nude shoot won't turn you into a model...

It's... disgusting. Seriously. Back on track. I love photography and it's a hobby. No doubt I hope I can turn it into a profession next time. But for now, I am just an amature.

I am a song writer because I write songs?
Ya you are... if you are with a publishing house and get paid. But you're not if you write for fun, store it in your PC. Only when your works are recognised, professionally, you're a song writer. I don't even dare to call myself a song writer because I only write lyrics. So that makes me just an lyricist.

It's good to have dreams... but why be a jack of all trades but master of none. Try to work towards a goal, make what you love into a profession. Life would be better this way...

HEHEE
Thursday, May 08, 2008 10:33 PM

Woo I am back with some pictures finally!

Here's our room! Nothing spectacular la but we really put in alot of effort at every corner.

I love the green wall and the new laminated flooring!

Saw that white shelve, green carpet, curtain and computer table? All are from Ikea! Wah that day we really had a hard time trying to lug everything back home. Almost can't fit the fixtures into our car! Thanks god for the help from the staffs. We tried to put everything together throughout the night with all the drilling and knocking. Luckily no one call the police to complain. Haha...

Anyway it's all lies lor. Ikea stuff very hard to fix together leh. I was responsible for the shelve while the husband do up the computer table. Gawd. The shelves have a whole lot of screws and nuts! I almost gave up. -_-

We got the waredrobe and bedframe from Brighton. I must say they go very well with the rest of the furniture! Loving every bit of the room now. ^^ especially the cozy corner! (aiya forget to take pictures of the winkies!! UGH! Next time perhaps!)

Pre-wedding shoot preparation!

We had lotsa last minute shopping! I always wanted to get a Olive Suite gown so we popby their store and found really lovely dresses there. But the only problem is that their MTM need about 1-2 months to be done so I chose an OTR short dress instead. Luckily all I need was a little alteration that only takes a few days.

I had my manicure and pedicure done at Bendemeer Mall which is just opposite my 娘家。 The girls from Pastel Festal did a great job and the price is really reasonable! I am hardly a girly person la so mani pedi these kind of things I won't bear to spend too much. HAHA.

Had a hard time trying to look for a pair of shoes to go with my dress. I wanted to get a pair of heels and Converse Shoes, which my Husband also bought a pair and wants me to buy a matching one. After looking all over the place, I bought a pair of lovely off white heels and a moss green converse shoes which match the gown perfectly!

We had 2 pre-wed shoot in total and they are just 2 days apart from each other. We had the one from our Bridal shop 1st and next with Wansheng.

The photoshoot on last Saturday with Bliss Bridal wasn't exactly pleasant. (ok, not that they are no good la. I guess the weather wasn't in our favour tat day! ><) I wasn't very ok with the makeup (the eyeshadow) but I guess the MUA was just trying to make sure the makeup can match with all outfit... (but I only wore one gown which suits that color eyeshadow while the rest are white! :O) I had lotsa different hairstyle thou... :/ The MUA is actually a very nice lady la but I guess I prefer lighter make up instead of what she did to me... Anyway it's just personal preference, so no offence or worry that the MUA is no good ah.

We had our shoot in the studio 1st and was asked to change into 5 different outfit. But I decided to just wear Evening Gown, Wedding Gown, my own tea dress and Kua for the studio shoot. The husband wore 2 different shirts with the same coat. We was rather against the idea of wearing traditional costume... (PS: I think I look like those ghost wearing kua in chinese horror movie. GAHHHHH)

Where we go: Ann Siang Hill > Alexandra road > Labrador Park

I regretted going Labrador Park. My gown is long and heavy. The weather was freaking hot. I have to pose with my holding back bending 45 degrees most of the time (don't ask me why!). My feet hurts like mad when sand stuck onto my slippers. I almost burst into tears when we are at our last few shots. I am dead tired. I just wanna GOHOMEEEEEEEEEE. :(

Not sure how the photos will turn out to be. But I am sure I won't top up extra.

The shoot with Wansheng was superfun thou!

Husband wanted something different... urban... while I like it morbid. Hahaa.. yes indeed very weird when it comes to pre-wed shoot. But we already had one very... normal and traditional with the BS, why not get something for this one?

This explain why we wore Converse and I didn't put on a normal veil.

Talking about the veil, I think Sharon did a very good job with the very normal looking veil and transform it into something like a rose and put it on my head. Hee. I like it! I like my make up in earth colors too. I see that she knows what suits me best therefore I got her for my actual day wedding make up and gave up the one from the BS. Pocket burnt a big hole la but it's all worth it! :)

Where we go: Our place > Seletar Camp > Changi Beach

We started off the day with my make up at 12pm then the arrival of Wansheng. Lunch. Shoots in the room > In the living hall. Didn't know our place got so many potential areas for nice photos. Hee.

After the weather starts to cool down, we proceed to Seletar Camp for our outdoor shoot. Thank god for Wansheng's warning, we sprayed quite abit of insect repellent and we kanna no mozzie bite! :P Heng I wore converse shoes if not walking and climbing will be a big problem. Tee-hee.

The god was very kind with us because the weather was good and the sky was beautiful! Love the pictures that Wansheng played around with the lightings.

Changi Beach isn't that bad too! Even thou I really hate going to the beach because sand getting in the shoes can be quite irritating. But surprisingly none got in and the pinky sky lights up my mood. ^^

I guess getting to know your photographer a little more does helps to build a better communication bridge on the photoshoot day. Really grateful for all the hardwork he puts in for our shoot! I am really looking forward to see the entire end product but for now, here are some of the pictures that Wansheng have edited. Love it all la! heee!

Beautifully (ok except for the last pic. hahahaa) captured by Wansheng from Feldberyl.

Huijun told me that day that after viewing them, she feels like getting married too! Now you know the power of wedding photos! Hee hee hee... Faster get married la bestie! You know I wait until long neck liao. :P

The bombshell:

Oh I mention about us dropping a bombshell... That is we are going to Hong Kong end of this month.

Not for the 4th time travelling there... but the Husband will be starting his new career there. We have no idea what are the plans like but we will most probably be staying there for like 2 years and come back when he have a better opportunity in Singapore.

And if you're wondering, how about our wedding? We will definitely be back for it! I guess we will be back on quite a frequent basis la. My main concern are my parents and sister. I know my Mum will prolly miss me alot but for a better future, we have to get thru this whole thing together.

And if you're also wondering, what am I going do there when the Husband goes work? Be tai tai lor. HEE. No la, I have plans of doing some online business... and prolly cook every meals at home to save money and occupy myself. Ailing mei always say that she feels worried for me because she knows I will 胡思亂想 if I stay at home for too long. But what to do? My visa doesn't allow me to get a job there unless I apply for a work permit... See how it goes ba!

So if you're my friend, buddy buddy, or bestest buddy and really want to meet up with me, please put time put place now! I only left with half a month! *sob*

Last but not least, here are some of the things I wanna eat before we head over to HK.

-OMG PLEASE GIVE ME DURAINS! I don't mind eating them until I nose bleed. If you have no idea how much I love durains, I can eat 5 in one shot, and have them all for 3 meals, for entire week!

-Laksa spaghetti from Rose Apple!

-Steamboat and dark sauce chicken that my mum cook.

-Boiled soup from my ah mah!

-Bak "Koot" Teh at Katong!

Wah alot of others in mind. But I shall stop here! HEE!

Tuesday, May 06, 2008 11:43 PM

Ok, so I survived 2 pre-wed shoot, a week of strict diet, 2 hairpulling makeover, 7 different locations, hundreds of poses, many kisses and 1 broken heels.

I never knew photoshoot can be so tiring. But I enjoyed it. Especially the ones with Wansheng and makeup from Sharon.

I have seen some of the photos and I really love them. The feel is there... the make up was fabulous... I used to think that bridal shoots are boring. But no, not at all!

Every pictures are like a surprise from Wansheng. So whenever I see our own picture on his new blog entry, my heart will skip a beat. Love that feeling! Hahaha...

If you're wondering why I never post any pictures... it's because... I am dead tired now. :/ I am sure even if I don't post, people will still manage to find them la. Hahah... Ok I will post them up the next time I update again. which I guess will be very soon... together with some photos of the room... and daily whatnots. :P

Last but not least, we have a big bombshell to drop on the next entry too. So, seeya next time!

Woohoo!

Mr Fiancé just sent me back to my office for work after we went down to ROM office to collect all documents needed for this Sunday's ceremony.

Was supposed to do some declaration base on civil marriage law and I was struggling with words like "conscientiously" and "impediment". Ugh. Mr Fiancé was laughing like mad after that and says that he regret not having someone to film us taking our vows. So now, I am like stuck to his joke, forever. Ugh.

Why can't they just simplified their vows to, "I hereby Sompa that what I said are true if not will be punished by law." HAHAAHH!

So exciting! 5 days to our big day! Weeeeeee!

Last week!
Monday, June 11, 2007 10:29 AM

Thanks for all the opinion darlings!

You know ah... I was very excited to get the left pair that day after work with Mr Fiancé but to my disappointment, their last new pair have really bad black and yellowish stains. I guess it's because of their material and storage method. Anyway, it's from Nue Nue and it cost S$179 or something. Come thinking of it, it's a tad too expensive for a pair of slippers thou I know ROM is like a once in a lifetime thing. And so I walked over to Aldo and bought the right pair instead (with a 10% discount for UOB card! muahahaha). Actually I like them both equally so it doesn't matter which pair I bought. As long as I have something nice to go along with! ^^

Actually I thought of MTM a pair instead but I doubt I have enough time to do it. And I didn't chose those ballroom kind of slippers because personally I am not a very guniang kind of girl. Hahaa so I doubt they will suit me. >< Whatever it is, I am glad I have settled my shoe. ^^

Wah last week was rather eventful. I met up with Ailing mei, Peili, Kaijing & Dylan for mala huo guo at Bugis (and I had really bad tummy after that for 2 days. hehehe) and had some chitchat session at the Macdonalds near my place. Had lotsa fun catching up and recalling all the fun we had during Secondary school. Bumped into Eileen too! Heard some bad news about her family and I am sorry girl... that I wasn't there for you... hope you're coping well! *hugs*

Saturday, baby and I caught Men In White at Vivo and had dinner at Kim Gary, like again... Love their food thou!

I was sitting beside this couple during dinner and the girl beside me was really... plain rude.

Both of us have yet to order any food and therefore we have to jot down what we want before passing it to the waitress. She raised her voice at a near by waitress and said in chinese that she want her order to be taken. The waitress was holding to a handful of plates and therefore she can only take her order after placing them down.

When the waitress came back, she saw that our order is also ready and since she is nearer to us, she just pick up our piece of order 1st before proceeding to hers. So this girl was very pissed...(which I don't see the need of her being so overreact) and said loudly to her bf, "I told you she is deaf and blind! We called for her 1st what!". I was abit taken aback. Does it make a difference when its only like a few seconds later for the waitress to attend to you after us? Like hello, we didn't ask the waitress to take our order before you. Are you THAT hungry or what?

The poor waitress obviously heard what the girl said since she is so blardy loud, the waitress quickly pick up her order and went to proceed them.

Anyway, their food came before us so does it realli matter who order them 1st? *roll eyes*

Baby's soup came and he wanted the pepper, which only their table nearest to us have it. So baby was very polite and ask if he can have the pepper and the girl gave him the blardy pissed off "cant-you-get-them-else-where?!" look. I can't believe it leh. Is she having sucha bad day that she just have to show face to everyone? Her boyfriend was rather paisay about her attitude and quickly pass the pepper to baby instead.

During the whole course of dinner, she was complaining and eating and complaining and eating AND COMPLAINING, loudly with full of vulgarities, next to me. Practically like shouting into my ears since we are sitting quite near to each other. Luckily they left much before us, baby and I finally can have a peace dinner together.

Sometimes I wonder why there are such people around.. thou they know being nice can help brighten one's day too. Totally spoilt my mood for a nice evening dinner on a Saturday man! Ugh!

On Sunday, I joined Huijun to go for the Alene Orchard Mile run in Town. The weather was I N S A N E L Y hot. I was sweating like a pig even before my run starts. :/

I haven't been running for the longest time and it's really a huge challange for me thou it's only a 1.6km run. *blush* Glad I made it to the finishing point, in one piece. Huijun was wayyyyyyy ahead of me after the 2nd minute. So lonely la. Haa! But we had a good time catching up too!

Didn't want to brag about it but I have the sweetest Fiancé man! He woke up like 6.45am yesterday (he only slept for like 3 hours after crazily going after the serial, Heros) and sent me to Orchard for my run plus waiting for us till the event ends. <3 Thanks baby!

After the run, we dash to ECP's drivethru mac to buy our big breakfast and ate at home. I never smell so bad before so decided to do housework before I go for my nice and cold shower. Sweep and mop the upper storey while baby does the lower storey and I did the plant watering outside. The weather is sorching hot and the floor is so hot that I felt my feets are on fire! >< The side wall and floors of the porch seems to have fine lines cracks! :/ I quickly use the sprinkler and spray water all over the tiles and the plants just in case they turn fried!

I never appreciate my shower so much until yesterday. Heavenly!

Now my body is aching like crazy. Stop laughing, I know it's only 1.6km! ><

Decision!
Tuesday, June 05, 2007 11:39 PM

left or right?

I can't decide which one to get just now because both of them looks great! The only thing is which one will suit my gown more...

My tube gown is at knee length... or perhaps a tad longer... off white with a very puffy bottom.

Would love to try them on with my gown but its at the bridal shop, still altering! :(

Hope baby can help me decide tomorrow when we go shop for them after work! ^^ woot!

Yesterday the fiancé and I went to Pan Pacific to chose the color settings for our solemnization and decided on red and gold. I guess we still need sometime to decide if we want to change the menu.

The catering manager was asking if we are interested in doing a montage for our event. Mr Fiancé seems rather interested in it so I guess I will need sometime to do one... included he can pass me his baby photos fast. Hee. Maybe can reuse for our wedding hor.

Did I mention Pan Pac have superb service? This lady who attend to us is very friendly and easy to negotiate with regarding all terms. She gave us a bigger ballroom, include everything for us. Left us with no worries. Thanks Melanie for her help too. It's almost like wedding dinner now lor.

A few things to settle before I can really rest my mind...

-Gown fitting this weekend.
-Buy Mr Fiancé's white pants, shirt and shoe.
-Print inserts for invitation.
-Confirm number of guest.
-Confirm types and number of liquors to bring.
-Confirm menu.
-Do montage.
-Burn songs.
-Write emcee script.
.
.
.

-SLIM DOWN LAH!

Last Saturday, Mr Fiancé bought his very own 400d. I am very nice so I let him take my 10-22mm. T-T Yay we can go shooting together!

From Baby to Fiancé. Soon I will need to get used calling him my hubby. Nice. Tee-hee.

Past week...
Tuesday, May 15, 2007 11:10 AM

was a rather dramatic one.

On Tuesday, I suddenly suffered from high fever and my body was aching so badly that I burst into tears. So my parents and sister brought me to the clinic.

I was coughing at the same time with fever, the nurse insisted that I put on a mask while waiting for my turn to see the doc. So blardy paisay. Everyone is siam-ing me like plague. *roll eyes*

Anyway I was down with serious viral attack. Was lying on bed for the past one week. Did nothing much except whipping out my thermometer and stuck it into my ear every half hour, only to see the temperature increasing. There was a period where my eyes was so scorching hot that I thought I am gonna be blind in no time. Scary shits.

Baby was on compassionate last week as his grandpa passed away so I didn't really get to see him last week except he came over to see me on Tuesday and next day when I went down for the wake. I feel bad that I couldn't be by his side for the rest of the week but I was really too sick to get outta my house. I hate it when I fall sick so easily. :(

We finally made the decision to hold our solemnization @ Panpac hotel. Thank god for dear Melanie's help and everything went smoothly! Deposit paid. Venue booked. JP booked. Date set.

The lady in charge was very nice to get us the pacific ballroom too! Now we need to finalise on the color theme and also the choice of food too. Need to get baby's outfit and go for my gown fitting next week. Register online this weekend.

Last but not least, do up a guestlist.

I have to declare that I am not able to invite every single friend of mine as solemnization supposed to be a close door event and celebration with close relatives only... but I have decided to limit myself inviting only 15 friends. So if you're not informed, that doesn't mean you're not my friend! It's just we are on restriction and I am sure you'll understand! I will try to included all my close friend in my AD wedding list thou! ^^ That's when I am able to invite more people to share this special moment!

Please get well soon, Anne! You must!

I am no deny, the hardcore fan of Rilakkuma.

Read about game here.

It's quite a bo-liao game la... but it's Kuma leh! How can I not play it!

Baby insisted that I should put up some of his proud works that he had taken during our HK/BJ trip. So there you so!

These days we were busy preparing for our ROM and wedding. Still deciding where to hold the event but we do have somewhere in mind and am going to view the venue today after work. And also, still comtemplating which photographer to use for pre-wedding and AD shoot. Jonathan Ho or Kelvin Koh?

Daddy Damian is very nice to agreed on helping us to take nice photos on our Rom day! HEE.

Yesterday we went to source for bridal shops and signed up a package at Bliss. Pretty reasonable and include almost everything. If the rom dresses that they are providing are nice, I will prolly save the trouble of buying a new one. I need a pair of white heels thou. I have been trying to look for some nice gown design because my package includes a MTM gown, either for WG or EG. Hopefully can come out with something nice! ^^

Need to look for a nice white shirt and a pair of pants for baby.

Oh yes! We bought our wedding bands too from Sookee's Jac Laurent series. Both white and yellow gold. We were actually a little late but luckily we managed to get something nice and the sizes we want if not it takes about 7 weeks to customise one. ^^;

And so, the wedding bands and the proposal ring are still altering and engraving. Hopefully I can get them back soon to take some photos!

Too bad we can't attend the Marina Mandarin wedding show because we are pretty interested in holding our AD banquet there. Hopefully they have more wedding show to come along!

So much things to do! But it's all worth it. :D It's a once in a lifetime event so we mustn't "horse tiger"!

Very excited. HEE! More to come!

Backie!

Hello people! Thanks for the well-wishes again and again!

Sorry for not updating as promised... It's because I was helping out at the bf's place over the weekend to ensure everything is in place when his parents are not around.

We spent the weekends doing laundry, ironing, sweeping, mopping, cleaning, gardening and stocking up the neccessaries. I think my mother trained me to be a really good daughter in law. hehehehehe.

And so I was away from Singapore for like 9 days to Hong Kong and Beijing. I love HK no doubt... I actually went there like 3 times in about 6 months! But I never get tired of it. The place is like a toyland to me. I simply love it!

This time round we gave The Peak a miss. We were in sucha rush that I didn't even do much shopping except helping friends and sister to get stuff there.

We went to "Dai Yu Shan" on the 2nd day to pay The Big Buddha a visit. Baby was busy snapping all the way while I was trying hard to catch some fresh air after climbing the uber long stairs.

We didn't stay there for long because baby said he had planned a surprised which can't afford to be late.

And so we quickly took a MTR and rush back to our hotel @ Mongkok and get changed and took a cab to TST.

I don't have the slightest ideal where he wants to be bring me to. But when he reach The Penisular Hotel, which is one of Hong Kong most expensive hotel, I was a little taken aback.

All the while I thought he wants to bring me to the nice restaurant at the peak... or perhaps a ride in famous Hong Kong boat. But Penisular never once came across my mind before.

I felt a little pressurized after I step into the hotel. I look a little underdressed. Baby never tell me where we will be going so I just wore a casual top and jeans. Aiyaiyai.

Baby was very sneaky. He wants me to wait at the lobby while he went to the concierge and get a little help. We waited for like 5 minutes and a lady came and lead us to the lift.

I thought to myself... could it be he booked a suite in the hotel and have inroom dinner? If so, rather romantic leh!

But the lift just went to the top floor... and we have to change to another lift to reach higher. The suite couldn't be at such high level isn't it? I got a little excited but I can't spoil the surprise by asking baby where are we going.

The lift stops and the doors open. The 1st thing I saw when the doors open was...

OMG! My legs went a little wobbly because I didn't have any mental preparation. I was too shocked and excited to say a thing. The lady in charge sat us down, got us to sign some form where you have to note down your particulars, including our weight. After that, we have to watch some safely videos... That's when I realise it's true... I AM GONNA SIT IN A CHOPPER aka HELICOPTER!

We waited for like 10 minutes or so before we can board the chopper. I was shaking by that time because I was scared. I am well-known for having air sickness. ><

But everything was so beautiful. The Pilot was a funny man. The view was spectacular and we can see almost the whole Hong Kong. Baby look rather excited too and kept snapping while asking the Pilot lotsa what-nots questions. We were wearing this headphone with mic for communication but most of the time the engine sound covered our voice.

And the special moment came...

Baby suddenly told the pilot that today he have planned to do a proposal to his girlfriend, me! I went stone and stare at him while the pilot laughed and say he will switch his headphone off to ensure he hears nothing. Hee!

That's when he popped the question...

"Baby, will you marry me?"

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG. I can't believe this is happening! Machiam some hollywood movie! And I just teared! (At the same time feeling faint-y due to air sick.) Guess what I said? I said: "YAH OKOK!"

He put the ring on my finger, we kissed and collapse in each other's arm and enjoyed the rest of the journey...

When we got down, baby asked, "How come you never say I DO?". That's when I realise I was too sick to give a proper answer. And there I go, "I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO I DO!" HAAA! Sorry ah I didn't know I am sucha spoilsport!

We have to wait for the dinner to start therefore we went strolling along the habour and watch the sun set. PURRRRRRRFECT I SAY!

The dinner was too luxury. The restaurant was too posh. The starter dish and dessert buffet was way toooooooooooooo much variety. Almost like main dish. Or even more. I was like a super rich tai-tai that day. HEHEHEH!

I am sucha lucky girl. My boyfriend really went all out to make sure that day was a very special one. He made reservation long ago to ensure that the surprised won't fail and he have to make multiple overseas call which cost quite a bomb to his phone bills. And the funniest part is one of the staff spoke cantonese to him and he can't understand a thing! Poor boy. How come I don't know he can be so romantic one! ><

HeliService is available in Hong Kong's The Penisular Hotel @ TST.

The rest of the trip was nothing but sweetest. It's like a pre-wedding honeymoon like some said! ^^

We went to Ocean Park and had fun! The trip in HK was alittle short but I am sure we will be back soon! :D

We left Hong Kong and took Air China to Beijing. The flight was bad. We met with a major turbulance and my panic attack strikes again. When the plane lands and stops, I couldn't stand up and leave the plane. Baby got worried and seek for help from the flight crew. They applied medicated oil for me and got me a cup of hot drink but nothing work. So the last resort was wheelchair. Ugh. I have to be wheeled out of the flight with a wheelchair. But there is one advantage which is clearing the custom really quick. :/ Not advisable if you just want to cut queue.

When we got out, baby's parents was there to welcome us. So nice to see familar faces again after being tramatised... We have to stay in the airport for about one and a half hours before we leave as I was feeling really really sick. Felt very bad to trouble everyone...

Beijing was an o-kay. We stayed in baby's parent's apartment and therefore we save up quite abit on accommodation. The apartment, which is a service apartment, condo-like, IS SO NICE! Nicer than any condos I have been to and nicer than any 5 star hotel! The weather in Beijing was pretty cooling but can be rather hot in the afternoon.

We went to Forbidden City, Beihe Park and Hutong. We also caught some performance by some Kungfu master. Sight-seeing was spectacular but you have to pay for EVERY SINGLE THING. The so-call admission ticket you bought doesn't seems to include anything except admission. Dang.

And the thing I hate most? Their hygiene... People practially spit and smoke EVERYWHERE. Perhaps except for some indoor shopping mall.

The way they drive can be quite a hazard too. People are not scared of the cars and vice versa. Many times I almost had my heart up at my throat. Too scary. And also, they use their honk so often that no 5 minutes on the road you won't hear a single honk.

We had a really great bonding time... I can see baby and his parents were really happy that they can spend some quality time together before living worlds apart. But most of the time... I secretly wish that my family is here with me too to enjoy... I really miss home when I was away...

Yesterday baby and I were discussing about our plans and we tentatively setting our ROM date to be on the 23rd of June 2007. Now we need to look for a nice place for the event and we will be getting my granduncle to be the JP. Woot! Still got a little time to tone up for the big day!

My mum was crying this morning because she says she can't bear to marry me off yet. Aiyo so contradicting leh she. But I still love her. Hehehe.

I can't believe I am getting married. It's time for me to learn to be a good wife, daughter in law and mother. All new roles!

I love my baby very much. Been loving this song and therefore dedicating it to my future hubby!

You Are The Love Of My Life - George Benson

You Are The Love Of My Life
I knew it right from the start
The moment I looked at you
You found a place in my heart

You Are The Love Of My Life
You give me reason to live
You taught me how to be strong
With you is where I belong

No one's ever touched me
Quite the way you touched me
People search a life time
To find what we have

You Are The Love Of My Life
One thing that's good in this life
I'll spend the rest of my days
Just loving you

You Are The Love Of My Life
The heart and sould of my life
Once I was lost and alone
With you at last I am home

You Are The Love Of My Life
You give me reason to live
You give me so much of you
And leave me room to be free

No one's ever touched me
Quite the way you touched me
People search a life time
To find what we have

You Are The Love Of My Life
One thing that's good in this life
And in a world full of change
One thing I'm sure of

You Are The Love Of My Life
The one thing that makes sense in this world
I'll spend the rest of my days
Just loving you...

You Are The Love Of My Life
And I thank GOD I'm alive
To spend my lifetime with you
You Are The Love Of My Life.

Hope I didn't miss out anything! Will update soon again! ^^
